Installation Instructions

Get up and running in less than a minute.

Windows Installation

  1. Download the .exe installer above
  2. Run the downloaded file
  3. Follow the installation wizard prompts
  4. Launch Typlo from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
  5. Create your first snippet and start typing faster

Note: Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for new applications. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.

macOS Installation Beta

  1. Download the .dmg file for your Mac (Intel or Apple Silicon)
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  3. Drag Typlo to your Applications folder
  4. Launch Typlo from Applications or Spotlight
  5. Grant Accessibility permissions when prompted (required for text expansion)

Note: macOS may show a security warning for apps downloaded from the internet. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security and click "Open Anyway" to proceed. The macOS version is currently in Beta -- please report any issues via the support page.

Linux Installation

  1. Download the .AppImage file above
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x typlo-linux-x64.AppImage
  3. Run the AppImage file
  4. Optionally move it to /usr/local/bin or your preferred location
  5. Create your first snippet and start typing faster

Note: Some distributions require FUSE to run AppImages. Install with: sudo apt install libfuse2 (Debian/Ubuntu) or sudo dnf install fuse (Fedora).
